A Sleak, Modern and Functional Design

This landscape design is by Suzanna Pagan of SP Gardens in San Marcos, California.  I love how Suzanna transformed this outdated, unusable corner into a sleak, modern and livable space.

I was thrilled that Steel Life's Matchstick planter was given a special place in this garden.  I love how Suzanna bounced colors around in the garden by the use of pillows, ottomans, seat cushions, the fire feature and planters.  Well done!

High Point Market Envy

The High Point Market is one of the largest furnishings trade shows out there, bringing in over 75,000 people every six months to High Point, North Carolina.  I have heard great things about this show, however I have never been myself.  It seems a bit overwhelming with over 6 buildings to visit product in!

I thought I would go to online to see what is going on at the show this weekend.  I like that you can get on High Point Market's website and see instant images of what is being shown there via twitter.  Here are a few patio or garden oriented products and images that I favored thus far:

Bucket List

I didn't realize that this would ever be on my Business Success Bucket List, but now that it has happened, I feel like it should have been some time ago.

Martha Stewart included our Steel Life planters in her most recent blog post while visiting Flora Grubb Gardens in San Francisco, California.  Even though our names weren't mentioned, we are still THRILLED that they caught Martha's eye!

These are images borrowed directly from The Martha Blog showcasing our Shallow Root Vessel, Basin Mod Dish and Matchstick planters.

I really enjoy seeing pictures taken at Flora Grubb Gardens.  I love how the staff is able to display products into color and texture blocks around their nursery.

I had the opportunity to visit Flora Grubb Gardens in 2010 with my mom while on a girls' weekend trip.  I was so inspired by what I saw, I went home and started designing my own vertical gardens.  The vertical gardens are what lead me to the realization of Steel Life.

I hope to revisit this nursery soon!  Flora always brings in the most unique and fun items to her store.  I recall leaving her nursery with a bag full of items, not even thinking of how I was going to pack them in my suitcase.

Here are a few pictures from my visit there:
